Earth+ showcases scalable biomass monitoring solution at New York Climate Week
Temse, Belgium - September 16, 2026 – Earth+ will showcase a scalable biomass monitoring solution developed together with Fujitsu during New York Climate Week (22-24 September), following the successful completion of a proof of concept with international food company Puratos. The solution combines satellite imagery, remote sensing and predictive AI modelling to help organisations monitor aboveground biomass and carbon stocks across large areas more efficiently. Earth+ will demonstrate the solution together with Fujitsu at The Nest Climate Campus, one of the flagship innovation venues during Climate Week.
The proof of concept combines Fujitsu's expertise in digital technologies with Earth+'s environmental intelligence platform, Earth+ Scan. It demonstrated how large-scale biomass monitoring can be carried out using freely available satellite data and predictive models, reducing the need for extensive field measurements or expensive high-resolution satellite imagery while maintaining a robust scientific foundation.
The collaboration responds to a growing need among organisations investing in regenerative agriculture and nature-based solutions. Reliable environmental data is becoming increasingly important for sustainability reporting, supply chain transparency and the verification of regenerative practices. At the same time, traditional monitoring methods remain labour-intensive and difficult to scale across multiple, often remote, locations.
Earth+ Scan addresses that challenge by combining satellite imagery, historical observations and predictive modelling to estimate aboveground biomass and carbon stocks. The solution supports organisations in generating reliable environmental intelligence that can inform both operational decisions and sustainability reporting.

The proof of concept was carried out with Puratos, an international food company, providing a real-world environment in which the solution could be developed and validated. Building on those results, Earth+ is exploring broader commercial applications for the solution together with Fujitsu, including regenerative agriculture, environmental reporting and landscape restoration.
